Aquavit I feel is one of those hidden gems. A Michelin star restaurant originally founded in New York’s midtown Manhattan in 1987. Yep, it’s old hahahaha According to their own website even after two decades it ‘continues to be one of New York’s most popular and highly esteemed dining destinations’ and the New York restaurant holds 2 Michelin stars. The London branch holds 1. Don’t let that put you off if you’re not into ‘that sort of thing’ because let me tell you all about it.Read More
I consider myself to be so very lucky to have grown up in Stockholm, Sweden. I love my home city and I love how it’s spread across 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges. The sea is all around you and it’s as beautiful in the summer as it is in the winter.
Stockholm has so many different cuisines on offer and wonderful restaurants and bars and cafes. We are if nothing else a coffee nation. I think we are like the second or third largest consumer of coffee, In The World. If you take into concideration that Sweden only has a population of about 9 million that’s pretty astonishing don’t you think?Read More

But I remember my mum was always talking about the fish and chips she had in London served in the traditional way; in an old newspaper, apparently that’s how things were done back in the day. I mean Eeewwww. Just saying hahahahah She still loves fish and chips but it’s just not the same in Sweden. A bit like having Swedish meatballs in England hahahah looking at you Ikea!
Turns out British cuisine isn’t all about fish and chips. Being an island it has excellent sea food readily available all year round. There are excellent seafood restaurants dotted about each seaside town.Read More

You may or may not have heard of the locally dubbed Walkie Talkie building – officially known as Sky Garden but you may have seen it as part of the ever-growing London Skyline. This is London’s highest public garden believe it or not! This 38 storey building is London’s 5th tallest.Read More
Have you ever wanted to have a bite to eat with a beautiful view? Well then I suggest you head to the Duck & Waffle in London. It’s on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower and is within easy walking distance of Liverpool Street Station. North Audley Canteen in Mayfair – NAC – is one of those restaurants that feels off the beaten track but is in fact only about a 6 minute stroll from Selfridges (I double checked the time on Apple Maps lol)
This is one of my favourite neighbourhood feel restaurants. Its not touristy and it doesn’t feel full of influencers and bloggers either (apart from yours truly hahahah)Read More
